PROGRESSING AND EXPEDITING OF ORDERS AND SUB-ORDERS
Project costs can be seriously accelerated by delays. TECNO procurement service includes an expediting programme for plant and equipment which can reduce and even prevent disruptions. It embraces purchasing, manufacture, inspection and finally delivery and site erection. It is applied with understanding, firm tact and a regard for efficiency that comes from the competence and experience of our Engineers. TECNO Field Expeditors and office based Progress Assistants ensure that their Client’s business is accorded full priority so that delivery deadlines are met.
VENDOR APPRAISALS AND EVALUATION
The service aims to control, at the premises of the manufacturer or sub-contractor, the quality of workmanship and the conformity of the manufactured equipment with the purchase specifications, the applicable drawings, codes and standards and other relevant contractual documents. The level of involvement can be specified by the client and may include stage inspections, witness testing or final inspection.
QUALITY SURVEILLANCE TECNO
Engineers regularly assess the quality and reliability of a vendor’s supply through surveillance of every stage of manufacture, in accordance to the approved Quality Plan and procedures and other requirement, from design and specification through testing, packing and delivery.
ASSISTING THE VENDOR
To help vendors meet a Client’s quality requirements, TECNO will assist in preparation of quality manuals, plans, procedures and reporting methods, perform assessment to test the systems and propose corrective action where needed.
The timely achievement of certification is a necessary part of a manufacturing programme. TECNO Engineers will monitor vendors’ controls of documentation and final certification data books to ensure timely compliance and progress.
THE REVIEW OF DESIGNS, DRAWINGS AND STRENGHT CALCULATIONS
The majority of codes and standards covering the manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels require an approval of the designs, drawing and associated calculations by an indipendent inspection organisation.
TECNO have considerable experience in this field, in particular with the British and ASME codes, including BS5500, BS1117, and ASME VIII on plant designs by major engineering companies for installation overseas.
In addition, and by no means confined to boilers and pressure vessels, TECNO provide an assessment of the design strength of plant in service, taking into account the effects of material loss or deterioration since original installation.
TECNO have established teams of experienced Site Engineers to undertake the quality management role for the Client. Whether Quality Surveillance, Inspection or Quality Control, our Teams work efficiently and effectively on all stages of Project activity.
